4th Annual Brandywine Heights Sports Booster Club 4-Person Scramble
The Brandywine Heights Sports Booster Club is hosting their 4th Annual 4-Person Scramble Golf Tournament on Friday, August 1 at Golden Oaks Golf Course. All proceeds will benefit the Brandywine Heights Sports Booster Club in their effort to provide funding and support the high school’s athletic teams. Coffee and registration begins at 7 AM, with the shotgun start beginning at 8 AM. A snack pack consisting of one hot dog or hamburger, a snack and two drinks is also included in registration. A lunch buffet and basket raffles will take place after golf. First and second place lowest gross score prizes, as well as closest to pin and hole in one prizes will be distributed. 2nd Annual Ben Miller Memorial Golf Tournament
The 2nd Annual Ben Miller Memorial Golf Tournament is taking place on Saturday, August 2 at Rich Maiden Golf Course. Benjamin “Benny” Miller spent 13 of his 18 years with us on Earth playing football. He started in flags with FAYFCA and continued all the way through his Senior Year with Fleetwood High School Football. Ben loved the game, his Fleetwood football family, and wearing his beloved number 66. This tournament will begin at Noon on August 2, and all proceeds will go directly to the Fleetwood Tigers High School Football team. Kutztown Day
Every year on the first Sunday in August, since 1907, the Borough of Kutztown has celebrated heritage, community, traditions, and our family and neighbors at the annual Kutztown Day Celebration in the Kutztown Park. The tradition has been continued from year-to-year by the concerted efforts of the Kutztown Day Committee. This year’s event is scheduled for Sunday, August 3. The event starts at 12:30 PM and will include community and civic groups with displays, first responders demonstrations, Bingo, a cake baking contest, cake walk, disc golf, cornhole games, Quoit tournament, games and rides for the youth. Multiple concerts are scheduled in the band shell, with food vendors and other displays culminating with a fireworks display to close the festivities around 9:15 PM.

There’s something for the whole family at the Kutztown Fair! The 154th Annual Kutztown Fair is taking place from Monday, August 4 to Saturday, August 9 at the Kutztown Fairgrounds. The fair is taking place from 4 PM to 10 PM every day except for Saturday, August 9. The hours on Saturday, August 9 are 2 PM to 10 PM for Children’s Day. The Oley Fire Company is hosting their annual Peach & Ice Cream Festival on Saturday, August 9 from Noon to 9 PM at the Oley Fairgrounds. Friend Inc.’s 16th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty
On Saturday, August 9, Friend, Inc. is hosting their 16th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty ride. This event is taking place from 7 AM to 2 PM and is held rain or shine. Enjoy food, drink and music by the Hannah Violet Trio after the ride. There are four ride options, all of which require a helmet: The 62 mile begins at 8 AM, the 40 mile begins at 8:15 AM, the 25 mile begins at 9 AM, and the 10 mile begins at 9:15 AM. The cost is $40 for those that pre-register and $50 the day of the event. Children under 12 are free with a registered adult. The event will begin at Rickenbach Learning Center at Kutztown University.

The 38th Annual Golf Tournament is sponsored by the Topton Community Outreach Club (TCOC) and is taking place on Saturday, August 9 at Rich Maiden Golf Course.
