The American Red Cross of Pennsylvania Rivers is hosting their annual fundraising event, The Pennsylvania Rivers Celebration of Heroes featuring the Berks County Heroes Breakfast on Friday, March 6 starting at 7:15 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. This event is dedicated to honoring the everyday individuals who have demonstrated remarkable acts of courage and kindness, embodying the humanitarian spirit of the American Red Cross. This event will raise essential funds to support the lifesaving services provided by the American Red Cross in our community. Breakfast and networking will take place from 7:15 Am to 8 AM, and the Heroes program will start at 8 AM. At this time, inspiring stories of the heroes, showcasing their incredible contributions and the profound impact they have made, will take place. Get your tickets here!

The Hamburg Area Education Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Casino Night, Saturday, March 7 from 6 pm – 10 pm. Enjoy poker, blackjack, craps, roulette and money wheel. This event will feature a DJ, a buffet, $100 of casino chips and a cash bar. Celebrity deals, silent auction, raffles, and 50/50. Connections Work, Connections in Action Career Fair is Monday, March 9, 2026 at 9:00 – 12:00 pm. This event helps connect employers with skilled workers. This career fair is open to all individuals seeking employment in the Berks Community with past or present justice involvement. The career fair will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Reading. Join the PA Department of Banking and Securities and Senator Judy Schwank for Fraud Bingo, Tuesday March 10 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Fleetwood Borough Building. This program will help you spot and avoid financial frauds and scams. You’ll hear from: Pa Department of Banking and Securities,Berks County District Attorney’s Office,Berks County Area Agency on Aging, Fleetwood Police Department, PA Office of Attorney General, andAARP Pennsylvania.

Stop by Christ Mertz Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 14 from 9 AM to 1 PM to enjoy their Spring Craft Show! Jewelry, art, homemade candles, home decor and more will be available. Please know that most vendors will only be accepting cash. Homemade chicken noodle soup, BBQ, hot dogs and baked goods will also be for sale, and guests can either eat in or enjoy the food to go. The Kutztown Area School Music Association (KASMA) and the Kutztown Area School District are hosting the 2026 Kutztown Jazz Festival on Saturday, March 14 at 12 PM. Enjoy food, music, and raffle prizes. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. This festival is considered one of the best in Berks County and showcases jazz musicians from school bands around the region.

Bring the heat to the West Reading Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, March 15 from 12 to 5 PM. The West Reading Community Revitalization Foundation looks forward to hosting this great event again. You get to be the judge as you sample over 20 different chilis from participating businesses and decide which is the best. This event is rain or shine and limited to the first 200 participants. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased here.
