St. Paul’s UCC of Fleetwood’s Chicken Pot Pie Dinner

St. Paul’s UCC Church in Fleetwood is hosting their famous sit-down Chicken Pot Pie Dinner on Saturday, October 19 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The cost is $12 per person, and children five and under eat for free. The menu includes homecooked chicken pot pie, corn, applesauce, coleslaw, rolls and butter, and assorted desserts. Beverages include your choice of water, iced tea, lemonade and coffee. Please park in the church’s parking lot. There is street parking as well, and guests can use the municipal lot at the corner of Green and Arch streets. Please enter through the main sanctuary doors on Green Street. Questions? Texas Holdem Poker Tournament Fundraiser

Pikeville Rod and Gun Club is hosting a Texas Holdem Poker Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, October 19. Doors open at 4:30 PM and poker starts at 6 PM. All proceeds will benefit One Wish Foundation. $40 buy-in (4,000 chips) in advance and $45 at the door (no rebuys). A $5 donation gets you an extra 2,000 chips. Beverages and food will be available for purchase, too. Cash prizes will go to the top 8 at the final table and first place trophy. Enjoy a 50 / 50 Raffle as well.

Trick or Treat on Main Street

The Optimist Club of Kutztown is hosting “Trick or Treat on Main Street” on Wednesday, October 23 from 6 to 8 PM. The event will take place from Constitution Blvd to Baldy Street, with a costume contest taking place at 7 PM at the corner of Whiteoak & Main Streets. The rain date is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30.

Second Annual Oley Library Trivia Night Fundraiser

The Oley Valley Community Library is hosting their Second Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser on Thursday, October 24  at the Oley Fire Company Social Quarters. There will be 10 rounds of Trivia with gift card prizes for each round, PLUS the top three teams with the most points overall will win gift cards for every team member. There will be five regular rounds of Trivia where the library asks a question and you and your teammates write down your answer. There will also be five “special” rounds of Trivia that will be a surprise. Some may involve food, music, celebrities, word games or something else. Feel free to bring your own snacks and purchase your beverages from the bar (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available). There can be four to six players per trivia team, and the library is accepting up to 20 teams. Midnight at the Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner

The rustle of silks and feathers under muted conversation was probably the last thing heard by the tragically and unexpectedly deceased at the Billionaire’s Club Annual Masquerade Ball. With a mystery under each feathery façade, unmasking the killer may be quite a challenge. Join CONCERN for this exciting and unique event at Fox Rose Farm, which benefits the nonprofit’s Special Needs Fund – supporting children in foster care.  CONCERN provides services to children, youth, and families through behavioral health, adoption & permanency, foster care, community- based prevention, and residential services. Samhain Celebration

Samhain is an ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker winter days. Please join EarthSpirit Interfaith Ministry for a family-friendly Samhain celebration and ritual at 6 PM on Sunday, October 27! A potluck will follow, as well as treats for the kiddos. Please RSVP by Thursday, October 24th so we can get an idea how much space and food to prepare. This is an outdoor event, although in inclement weather this event will be held indoors. Zach Strong 4th Annual Memorial Event

The 4th Annual Memorial Event for Zach is taking place on Saturday, November 2 from 10 AM to 8 PM at The Fleetwood Park. The event is rain or shine! All funds raised will be donated to BCTC students pursuing a career in plumbing and heating as Zach did, as well as being donated to a local family in need, a cancer organization, and a Christian service / mission in Zach’s honor and memory. There will be live music, Planet Fitness will have a vendor booth set up, homemade baked goods for sale, and over 100 raffle baskets at Pavilion #1. Delicious food will be provided by Spanish Soul, LLC, BBQ Without Borders. Dinners can be picked up at the park between 11 AM and 2 PM. Enjoy a rib dinner for $20, a pulled pork dinner for $17, or a chicken dinner for $13. All dinners include two sides and a roll, and extra sides will be available until 6 PM. Anyone interested in playing baseball and / or football with Zach’s twin brother, Michael, should please bring proper equipment. Any cash or check donations can be sent to Zach’s mother, Kim Huber (484.347.6352) or through Venmo @zach_strong. St. Paul’s U.C.C. Christmas Bazaar

St. Paul’s U.C.C. Guild is hosting their Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, November 9 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Start your Christmas shopping early with a number of crafters and vendors including Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware and Humming Bird Farm infused cooking oils and crafters with homemade articles. There is also a book room and a toy room, as well as White Elephant. This free event will also feature homemade food and baked goods, as well as a silent auction. You do not need to be present to win.
