Laconia Contemporary Company presents “Small Mouth Sounds” by Bess Wohl at the WCR Center for the Arts. Directed by Julia Matthews and featuring Lydia Brubaker, Erick Goldsmith, Adam Kissinger, Connor Mclaughlin, Mara Nagle, Frith Rooney, and Cat Whelan, this performance is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing, LLC, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. In the overwhelming quiet of the woods, six runaways from city life embark on a silent retreat. As these strangers confront internal demons both profound and absurd, their vows of silence collide with the achingly human need to connect. Filled with awkward humor, this strange and compassionate new play asks how we address life’s biggest questions when words fail us. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased here. Enjoy the show from 7:30 to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 15; from 2 to 3:30 PM on Saturday, August 16; from 7:30 to 9 PM on Saturday, August 16; and from 2 to 3:30 PM on Sunday, August 17.
