The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania are hosting the 2026 Take the Lead Berks County on Tuesday, April 14 at the Redner’s Event Center from 5 to 8 PM. This year, the theme is centered around the Girl Scouts highest awards and the Take Action projects produced by girls whose aim is to better their communities and the lives of others. The following four individuals will be honored at the event: Meggan Hannigan, AVP of Development Advancement at Alvernia University, Radha Pyati, PhD, Chancellor & Dean of Penn State University, Monica Reyes, VP for Programs & Initiatives at Berks County Community Foundation, and Karen Wang, MD, FAAP, Chief Medical Officer at Berks Community Health Center.
