The Oley Valley Community Education Foundation is hosting their annual “Swing Fore Education” Golf Tournament at Golden Oaks Golf Course on Monday, October 5. Many local businesses, community members, and education supporters come together for a great day on the green — all while raising vital funds for student enrichment programs to benefit education in the Oley Valley! Vision Resource Center‘s upcoming Dine in the Dark event is taking place on Thursday, October 8 from 6 to 9 PM at the Berkshire Country Club, hosted by the Vision Resource Center of Berks County and Kutztown University Teachers of the Visually Impaired. This special evening will bring our community together to foster awareness and support for blind and low-vision individuals, empowering children and adults through vital programs and resources. Rejoicing Spirits of Eastern Berks County invites anyone to attend their services and fellowship times on the first Sunday of every month at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Parking is located behind the church with an accessible entrance from the parking lot. All are welcome to each 30 to 40 minute, no-shush ecumenical worship service that enriches the lives of all people, especially the differently-abled, their caregivers, families and friends.
