The Reading Fightin Phils, are excited to partner with Berks County Agriculture, who will sponsor the America’s Classic Ballpark Commemorative Cup for the first 2,000 adults, on Wednesday, June 18, against the Hartford Yard Goats. First pitch for the game is at 7 p.m. The County of Berks, through its Department of Agriculture, will celebrate the strength and impact of the local agricultural industry with a special event on June 18, featuring the game and cup sponsorship, along with a recognition banquet at Redner’s Event Center. Agriculture contributes over $1 billion annually to Berks County’s economy, supporting key sectors such as farm supply and food manufacturing. To honor the industry’s importance and those who sustain it, the county will recognize preserved farm owners during the banquet.
Berks County is a leader in farmland preservation, ranking #2 in Pennsylvania and among the top in the nation. This year, the County reached a major milestone—80,000 acres of farmland permanently protected through the Agricultural Land Preservation Program. These efforts help ensure a sustainable future, secure local food systems, and protect the county’s agricultural heritage. The Berks County Farm Bureau will enhance the event with live farm animals and educational activities. They will be joined by the Berks County Dairy Princesses and representatives from the Berks County Fair, bringing added charm and community spirit to the celebration.
Gates open at 5 p.m. the night of the game. Tickets are available at rphils.com/tickets, by calling 610-370-BALL or in-person at the Customer’s Bank Ticket Office.
