Dine in the Dark 2026

Vision Resource Center‘s upcoming Dine in the Dark event is taking place on Thursday, October 8 from 6 to 9 PM at the Berkshire Country Club, hosted by the Vision Resource Center of Berks County and Kutztown University Teachers of the Visually Impaired. This special evening will bring our community together to foster awareness and support for blind and low-vision individuals, empowering children and adults through vital programs and resources. The Right Price Game Show

The State Theatre Preservation Society is hosting a 10th anniversary fundraiser by presenting The Right Price Game Show, Boyertown Edition, on both Saturday, October 10 at 7 PM and Sunday, October 11 at 1 PM. A fun and entertaining event with fun and fabulous prizes. Christin Smith Myers will be hosting the event, and the wheel is built and ready to spin! They will also be holding a raffle prize drawings for the audience between games. St. Paul’s UCC Guild’s Pot Pie Day

St. Paul’s U.C.C. Guild is hosting their annual Takeout Pot Pie day on Friday, October 16 from 1 to 5 PM. Pot pie is $11 for a quart or $6 for a pint. Place your order by calling or texting 610.334.1794. All orders are due by September 25.  Pick up will take place in the social room of the church. Baked goods will also be available for purchase.

St. Paul’s U.C.C. Guild’s Pot Pie Supper

St. Paul’s U.C.C. Guild is hosting their annual Pot Pie Supper, bake sale, and silent auction on Saturday, October 17 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. The dinner is $13 for adults and children 5 and under are free. In addition to chicken pot pie, the dinner includes corn, coleslaw, bread and a roll, as well as drinks and desserts. Homemade baked goods will be for sale, and the church’s annual silent auction will take place, too. Tickets will be sold at the door, and the event is handicapped accessible.

LC Medical and Support Services invites you to an evening of celebrating 40 years of LC Ministry! Join them on Tuesday, October 20 at the DoubleTree in Reading. Doors open at 5:15 PM and dinner is served at 6:15 PM. Keynote Speaker, Susan Bane (aka Dr. Pink Glasses) is a board-certified physician who has practiced obstetrics and gynecology for over 28 years. Dinner Buffet & Live Concert by Velveeta 80s Cheese

Join CONCERN for their Concert for a Cause on October 24 from 5:30 to 10:00 PM at the Deane Center for the Performing Arts. Attendees will enjoy great food, your favorite 80s music live, and dancing — all while supporting mental health. Tickets are $60 per person and can be purchased here.

Oley Valley Elementary School PTO 2nd Annual Basket Raffle Fundraiser

The Oley Valley Elementary School PTO is hosting their Second Annual Basket Raffle Fundraiser on Saturday, November 7 at the Oley Valley Elementary School. Doors open at Noon and ticket drawings begin at 2 PM. General admission is $25, and tickets can be purchased here or by emailing [email protected]. Tickets include two sheets of tickets (25 chances per sheet) and additional sheets of tickets will be available for purchase. Food and drinks will also be for sale.

Reading Symphony Orchestra’s NYE Special: The Music of Elton John & Billy Joel

The Reading Symphony Orchestra is hosting their annual NYE Special on December 31 at 7:30 PM at the Santander Performing Arts Center! Sing it. Sway to it. Ring in the New Year with it. From Piano Man to Rocket Man, this is the soundtrack of generations—live, loud, and electrifying. Tuxedos are optional, and goosebumps are guaranteed. Shrimp Night at the Shoemakersville Fire Company

Join the Shoemakersville Fire Company No. 1 for their delicious Shrimp Night from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on the last Monday of every Month, unless it falls on a holiday! For $15 you will enjoy 1 pound of steamed shrimp and coleslaw. This popular monthly fundraiser has become a community favorite, with many attendees calling it the best steamed shrimp around! The event is open to both members and non-members, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors. This fundraising dinner is take out only; It’s as simple as getting in line and ordering from your car. No pre-order sales will be accepted, and the event always takes place rain or shine. Cash only, please. Proceeds from this event help fund life-saving equipment, training, and other resources needed to support Shoemakersville Fire Company’s emergency response mission. As a 100% volunteer organization, community support plays an important role in helping them continue serving the Shoemakersville Borough, Perry Township, and surrounding communities.
