Friend, Inc. is hosting their 17th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty event on Saturday, August 8 from 7 AM to 2 PM. The race will begin from Rickenbach Learning Center at Kutztown University and will be held rain or shine, with post-ride food, drinks and live music by Maddy Kas after the event. One of Berks County’s premier cycling events, Brake the Cycle of Poverty delivers a beautiful day through the rolling hills and scenic landscape across some of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful terrain. 62, 40, 25, and 10 miles routes offer something for everyone! The 62 mile begins at 8 AM, the 40 mile begins at 8:15 AM, the 25 mile begins at 9 AM, and the 10 mile begins at 9:15 AM. The cost is $40 to pre-register and $50 the day of the event.
