Wheels for Victory’s Annual Car Show

Saturday, May 10, 2025

Wheels for Victory is hosting their Annual Car Show at the Kempton Community Center on Saturday, May 10 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Registration will take place from 10 AM to 12 PM, and judging begins at Noon with local “celebrity” judges. Winners will receive $50 gift cards donated by local businesses. Awards will be presented at 2:30 PM and raffle winners will be announced at 2:45 PM. Car categories include Antique, Custom, Street Rod, Motorcycle, Tractor and Truck. Pre-registration takes place until May 8 for $10. After May 8 the cost is $15.  Find the registration form here on their Facebook page. This event is free to the public and open for anyone to attend. The day will include food, music, crafters, vendors, a silent auction, and a 50 / 50 drawing – all to raise money to benefit the kids at Victory Junction Camp, who enriches the lives of children with serious illnesses by providing life-changing camping experiences that are exciting, fun and empowering, at no cost to the children or their families. 63rd Annual Fish Rodeo

Saturday, May 10 & Sunday, May 11, 2025

The 63rd Annual Fleetwood Fish Rodeo is taking place at the Fleetwood Park pond on Saturday, May 10 and Sunday, May 11. The pond will be stocked with over 500 trout of various sizes. Saturday registration begins at 8 AM for the following age groups: 3 to 6 years, 7 to 8 years, 9 to 10 years, and 11 to 12 years. Fishing will take place from 9 AM to 4 PM. On Sunday, registration begins at 5:30 AM and takes place for ages 13 to 15 years. Adults pay a $10 donation (with valid license required). Fishing will take place from 6 AM to 3 PM on Sunday. There is a limit of four fish per person each day. Attendees must keep all trout caught – there will be no releases. Additional prizes will be awarded for Palomino fish in memory of the organization’s deceased members. Fishing at the pond will be limited to children only from May 12 to May 16th, and the pond re-opens for adults and children on Saturday, May 17.

The Camel Project’s ChalkPalooza Event

Saturday, May 10, 2025 & Saturday, September 6, 2025

The Camel Project, in collaboration with the City of Reading and Department of Public Works, is hosting their annual ChalkPalooza Event on Saturday, May 10 from 10 AM to 2 PM at 13th & Union Elementary School in Reading. This chalk and bubble festival also includes a color run from 11 AM to 1 PM and car show, as well as music, magic, balloon art and more. Join the fun for a family friendly day of creativity and kindness! We invite participants of all ages to express themselves creatively in a safe, family-supportive environment. Chalk and bubbles are provided free. nPre-registration for chalk is free for all ages. It is not required. You can register at the event, but pre-registration is recommended to guarantee you’ll get a space and free chalk for your art. You can also bring your own chalk. To pre-register, go here. ChalkPalooza is a perfect example of how creativity, connection, and play can create spaces that heal, empower, and inspire positive change.

*Please note: This event will be held again on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Renninger’s Antique and Farmer’s Market located at 740 Noble Street in Kutztown. Both events are held rain or shine.
