5th Annual Bingo, Baskets & BBQ

The Hamburg Area Arts Alliance will be hosting it 5th Annual Bingo, Baskets & BBQ event at St. Mary’s Church, Hamburg on Sunday, April 12, at 12 pm. This event is $25 for advanced tickets or $30 at the door, featuring 20 games of bingo, raffle baskets, 50/50, special games and jackpot! Food and drinks will be available for purchase. 2026 Take the Lead Berks County

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania are hosting the 2026 Take the Lead Berks County on Tuesday, April 14 at the Redner’s Event Center from 5 to 8 PM. This year, the theme is centered around the Girl Scouts highest awards and the Take Action projects produced by girls whose aim is to better their communities and the lives of others. The following four individuals will be honored at the event: Meggan Hannigan, AVP of Development Advancement at Alvernia University, Radha Pyati, PhD, Chancellor & Dean of Penn State University, Monica Reyes, VP for Programs & Initiatives at Berks County Community Foundation, and Karen Wang, MD, FAAP, Chief Medical Officer at Berks Community Health Center. Connections Work, 2026 Impact Awards Breakfast

Connections Work is hosting an Impact Awards Breakfast to honor those who have stepped up as volunteers, employers, and community members, who are a living vision of giving second chances. This event will also honor clients who are succeeding in life because of those opportunities. St. Pauls UCC in Fleetwood is hosting their family style Pot Pie Supper on Saturday, April 18 from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. Enjoy family style, delicious and freshly cooked chicken pot pie in our social room! Dinner will include pot pie, corn, cranberry applesauce, dinner roll and butter, dessert and a drink. The cost is $13 per person and children 5 and under eat free. Please enter at the Arch Street or Green Street entrances to buy your meal ticket and be guided to your table. Experience the power of the MS movement by joining the Walk MS event on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Grings Mill Park. There are two available routes, a 1 mile and 3 mile. All routes are accessible and mobility devices are welcome. The site opens are 9:00 am with the ceremony beginning at 9:50 before the walk kickoff at 10. The Walk MS experience emphasizes the people and organizations that help improve a person’s life with MS. Move together toward a world free of MS.

Fleetwood Park Summer Concert Series

The 2026 Summer Concert Series presented by the Fleetwood Rec Board is kicking off on Sunday, May 31, 2026 with The Fabulous Greaseband. The Concert Series will continue every Sunday from May 31 – July 5, 2026. Bands are tentative and subject to change but currently include, Junior’s Grades, Mission Impossible Band, Cody Tyler, Dave Mell Band, and the Ringgold Band. Bands begin at 6:00 pm, these concerts are free to the public. Come out to Fleetwood Park and enjoy music with the community.

2026 Concert Series

May 2026 - August 2026

For 25 years the Borough of Kutztown has sponsored a Summer “Concert Series in the Park“, with concerts running from late May to August. The concerts are held in the historic Kutztown Park bandshell, primarily on Saturday evenings, with a few weekday and Sunday concerts. These concerts are FREE and open to the public, with a variety of bands and music to appeal to different audiences. These free concerts provide the opportunity to listen (and dance) to music all summer long.

Yocum Institute for Arts Education’s Dancing with the Reading Stars

Yocum Institute for Arts Education invites you to the grand finale of Dancing with the Reading Stars. Rajah Shrine Concert Band 48th Annual Concert

Come out for a premier event with Noble Bandmaster Bruce Rohrbach and the concert band on Sunday, May 3 at 2 pm at the Rajah Shrine Banquet Hall. Light snacks and refreshments (including camel’s milk, soda and adult drinks) will be available for purchase. After the intimate cabaret performance, enjoy dinner and dessert! During intermission, the dance floor will be set up for the Nobleaires Dance Band’s big band music under the direction of Noble Wayne Grace. 64 Annual Fleetwood Fish Rodeo

Saturday, May 9 & Sunday, May 10, 2026

The 64th Annual Fleetwood Fish Rodeo is back at the Fleetwood Park Pond for a full weekend of fishing, fun, and community on Saturday, May 9 & Sunday, May 10, 2026. Registration opens at 8:00 am on Saturday, with fishing open from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm for ages 3-12. Sunday registration opens at 5:30 am, with fishing from 6:00 am – 3:00 pm for ages 13-15. The first 10 Palomino fish caught will win a fishing rod, in memory of deceased members. Adults require a $10 donation and a valid fishing license. All trout must be kept, there is no catch and release. Fish on!

Opportunity House is hosting their Annual Golf Outing on Monday, June 22 at the Berkshire Country Club. Registration, networking and lunch will take place starting at 10:30 AM, with a shotgun start beginning at 12 PM. At 5 PM guests will enjoy a cocktail and award reception. Individual golfers can participate for $350 and a foursome is available for $1,400. Each golfer who participates will receive a round of golf, greens fee, use of locker room facilities, driving range and putting green, and a golf cart, as well as a boxed lunch, cocktail reception and awards ceremony. On Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 the Mohnton-Cumru Lions Club is hosting their sixth annual Music & Makers Market from 10 AM until 5 Pm at the Mohnton Memorial Park. Several big name bands will be playing a variety of music including blues, country, jazz and rock. Artisans and craftspeople from the Tri-County area will display and sell original handcrafted items, such as jewelry, pottery, textiles, woodwork, food and more. Other activities will include a cornhole tournament for adults and Magic in Mohnton’s playground area, a bouncy house, face painting, balloons and aK-9 presentation for the kids. This event is free and open to the public.

This event is designed to educate the health curious, elevate the understanding of the health conscious, and raise community awareness of the importance of digestive health through the free exchange of information and resources. This event aims to bring about positive impact to improve the lives of the residents of Berks County by inspiring and compelling people to eat and live better. Rejoicing Spirits Services & Fellowship

First Sunday of Every Month

Rejoicing Spirits of Eastern Berks County invites anyone to attend their services and fellowship times on the first Sunday of every month at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Parking is located behind the church with an accessible entrance from the parking lot. All are welcome to each 30 to 40 minute, no-shush ecumenical worship service that enriches the lives of all people, especially the differently-abled, their caregivers, families and friends. Rejoicing Spirits includes music, playing musical instruments, joyous singing, opportunities to participate, brief and meaningful messages, and the chance to connect with others. Join them for snacks and fellowships immediately following each service.
