2026 Concert Series
May 2026 - August 2026
For 25 years the Borough of Kutztown has sponsored a Summer “Concert Series in the Park“, with concerts running from late May to August. The concerts are held in the historic Kutztown Park bandshell, primarily on Saturday evenings, with a few weekday and Sunday concerts. These concerts are FREE and open to the public, with a variety of bands and music to appeal to different audiences. These free concerts provide the opportunity to listen (and dance) to music all summer long.

Peach & Ice Cream Festival

The Oley Fire Company is hosting the Peach & Ice Cream Festival on Saturday, August 8 from 12 PM to 9 PM at the Oley Fire Company Fairgrounds. There will plenty of food and fun for the whole family! Enjoy fresh peaches and ice cream, peach pies and clam bakes, plus a variety of many other food items to choose from. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in a huge raffle for your chance to win valuable local products and gift certificates. 17th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty

Friend, Inc. is hosting their 17th Annual Brake the Cycle of Poverty event on Saturday, August 8 from 7 AM to 2 PM. The race will begin from Rickenbach Learning Center at Kutztown University and will be held rain or shine, with post-ride food, drinks and live music by Maddy Kas after the event. One of Berks County’s premier cycling events, Brake the Cycle of Poverty delivers a beautiful day through the rolling hills and scenic landscape across some of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful terrain. 62, 40, 25, and 10 miles routes offer something for everyone! The 62 mile begins at 8 AM, the 40 mile begins at 8:15 AM, the 25 mile begins at 9 AM, and the 10 mile begins at 9:15 AM. The cost is $40 to pre-register and $50 the day of the event. Hawk Mountain Council’s Shoot For A Cause Trap Shoot

The Hawk Mountain Council is hosting their Annual Scouting America Shoot For A Cause Trap Shoot on August 14, 2026 at the South End Gun Club. This fun, competitive, and impactful event supports the young women and men of Scouting America Hawk Mountain Council. This exciting day of shooting and camaraderie brings together outdoor enthusiasts, community leaders, and supporters who believe in investing in the next generation of leaders. Proceeds from the event directly benefit local Scouting programs that build character, leadership, and life skills for youth across our communities. The day begins at 10:00 AM with registration and access to a practice station. At 11:00 AM, participants will gather for the opening ceremony and mandatory safety briefing, followed immediately by the start of the competition. Each participant will shoot a 75-target course, culminating in an exciting Shoot-Off finale to determine top honors. Following the competition, participants are invited to enjoy an after-event reception featuring a raw bar, social time, and awards ceremony, a perfect opportunity to celebrate, connect, and recognize outstanding performances. Every shooter will receive a commemorative participant gift as a thank-you for supporting Scouting. Ammo will not be provided for this event. Participants are responsible for bringing their own ammunition. Come out, take your best shot, and help make a lasting difference in the lives of local youth. 45th Annual Dick Manmiller Memorial Golf Tournament

The Blandon Fire Company is hosting this annual golf tournament event on Saturday, August 15 at Rich Maiden Golf Course. Registration begins at 6:30 AM with a shot gun start taking place at 7 AM. The cost is $80 per person and includes golf, cart, lunch, refreshments and prizes. The deadline to register is August 11. Prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin on all par 3’s at the pavilion. Lunch will be served at the pavilion at Noon, and refreshments will be available throughout the course.

The 30th Annual Chile Pepper Festival is taking place on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 from 9 AM to 6 PM at the William Delong Memorial Park in Bowers, PA. This event is held both days rain or shine! Jalapeno eating contest will take place on Saturday, September 12 at 1 PM. In addition to trophies, first place receives $100, second place receives $75, and third place receives $50. Guests will also enjoy music by The Chile Pepper Ramblers. Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday and commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with an Honor Guard presentation to kick off both days. A fireworks spectacular will conclude the event on Saturday evening at 9 PM. On Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 the Mohnton-Cumru Lions Club is hosting their sixth annual Music & Makers Market from 10 AM until 5 Pm at the Mohnton Memorial Park. Several big name bands will be playing a variety of music including blues, country, jazz and rock. Artisans and craftspeople from the Tri-County area will display and sell original handcrafted items, such as jewelry, pottery, textiles, woodwork, food and more. Other activities will include a cornhole tournament for adults and Magic in Mohnton’s playground area, a bouncy house, face painting, balloons and aK-9 presentation for the kids. This event is free and open to the public.

Breast Cancer Support Services is hosting their annual Team holly 5K Run / Walk on Sunday, September 13 at Gring’s Mill Recreation Center. The race begins at 10 AM and the walk begins at 10:05 AM. Registration starts at 8:30 AM. This is a family friendly event that includes a kids’ zone, raffle baskets and entertainment from DJ Sir Hamilton Newton! This signature fundraising event offers a spectacular celebration of the fall exhibition season. This year, the museum is excited to unveil the highly anticipated exhibition Rockwell / Wyeth: Icons of Americana, which will feature the work of two of the most celebrated figures in American art, whose vivid illustrations captured the imaginations of Americans throughout the 20th century and is still admired today. The event will take inspiration from these artistic icons of Americana with a 1940s-50s theme, encouraging attendees to step back in time to the post-WWII era of booming optimism, Saturday Evening Post covers, and the rise of middle-class suburban life. Michael H. Wise II Memorial 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run

The Michael H. Wise II Memorial 5K and 1/2 Mile Fun Run is taking place on Sunday, September 27 at Reading Area Community College. Registration opens at 9 AM, the 5K starts at 10 AM, and the 1/2 mile kids fun run begins around 11 AM. A race t-shirt is guaranteed to all 5K pre-entries. Late and day-of race entries will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis. There is a small prize for kids who finish the fun run. Refreshments, great parking, time clock at finish, and instant results all make up this race. This event is being held rain or shine. No refunds or mailed awards. Results will be available at pretzelcitysports.com in 48-72 hours. The cost to enter the 5K is $35 if postmarked by September 7 and $40 after 9/7 and on race day. The cost for the kids fun run is $5. All proceeds benefit Michael H. Wise, II Memorial Foundation, which honors the life of fallen Reading City Police Officer, Michael H. Wise II, who died in the line of duty in June 2004. Questions? First Sunday of Every Month
Rejoicing Spirits of Eastern Berks County invites anyone to attend their services and fellowship times on the first Sunday of every month at 3:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. Parking is located behind the church with an accessible entrance from the parking lot. All are welcome to each 30 to 40 minute, no-shush ecumenical worship service that enriches the lives of all people, especially the differently-abled, their caregivers, families and friends. Rejoicing Spirits includes music, playing musical instruments, joyous singing, opportunities to participate, brief and meaningful messages, and the chance to connect with others. The Fleetwood Cadillac Award will be given to an organization for their extraordinary community service, and the Fleetwood Hometown Hero award will be awarded to local individuals who have made a significant, lasting impact or provided extraordinary service to the Fleetwood area. This event is taking place at the Fleetwood Fire Company Banquet Hall on Saturday, April 3, 2027. Tickets go on sale on September 16, which is the same time that the honorees will be announced.
