Jen & Jessie’s
Creamery
Celebrating Small Business Week
More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business — and these businesses are the driving force behind nearly two out of every three new jobs created in the U.S. each year, according to the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA).
This Small Business Week, Fleetwood Bank is proud to recognize the local entrepreneurs and dreamers who power our communities — and to spotlight one of our business customers and a beloved Oley staple: Jen & Jessie’s Creamery.
Located at 798 Memorial Highway, Jen & Jessie’s Creamery has been serving the Oley Valley community for over 20 years. Now, under the ownership of Jennifer Ritschard, the creamery is reopening with a fresh look, new treats, and a continued commitment to community.
“This is my first season as the second-generation owner,” Jennifer shares. “It’s been a labor of love to refresh the space while staying true to what our community has always loved about us.”
Jen & Jessie’s isn’t just reopening — it’s reimagining what an ice cream experience can be:
-
Fun New Menu Items: From the “Unicorn” sundae to the “Construction Zone,” and a delicious new Cold Brew Coffee Float featuring coffee from local favorite Hazel’s Café, there’s something for everyone.
-
Refreshed Branding & Space: A modern logo and updated storefront make it more inviting than ever.
-
Family-Friendly Enhancements: Plans are underway to improve the outdoor seating area, including a new play zone and sandbox for kids to enjoy.
As a local business, Jen & Jessie’s is deeply committed to supporting the community. Jennifer actively contributes to beloved organizations like the Oley Valley Woman’s Club, Oley Valley FFA, and Christmas in the Valley. “I think a community is all about providing support to each other and forming lasting relationships,” she shares.
Jen & Jessie’s story is one of many across the country that showcases the importance of local businesses. When COVID-19 threatened to shutter thousands of them, it was community banks who stepped in — issuing nearly 2.8 million loans through the Paycheck Protection Program and helping save an estimated 33.7 million jobs.
Jennifer chose to bank local with Fleetwood Bank in the fall of 2024 for its convenient locations, but what’s kept her here is the personal service and meaningful relationship
